DevForce Express is a free .NET productivity solution that is fully integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio and is designed for development of basic data-intensive client/server applications. DevForce Express-based applications may be developed, deployed, and resold royalty-free.
DevForce Express is part of the DevForce Productivity Suite from IdeaBlade. The DevForce Productivity Suite is a developer productivity solution for building applications for the Microsoft .NET Framework. DevForce is a "must have" for developing and deploying .NET applications. With its integrated suite of infrastructure components, an application server, design tools, and full service support, you can create compelling .NET enterprise applications, on time, and on budget.
The DevForce Productivity Suite includes the following components:
Business Object Server - A middle-tier server that deploys business objects in an n-tier environment and allows enterprises to easily build scalable and secure Internet applications that also work off-line.
RAD Productivity Tools- A comprehensive end-to-end set of tools fully integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio that provides a seamless development environment, enabling developers to easily create business objects and data driven user interfaces.
Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) - A set of data access libraries that provide an object-oriented interface to databases, eliminating the requirement for developers to write complex SQL queries.
Object User-interface Mapping - A model-view-controller architecture that synchronizes business objects to the user interface and eliminates the need for complex event driven code, while providing error free and consistent data throughout the application.
